A small site for a small family

Web analytics

Privacy-respecting web analytics are possible. Our instance respects Do-Not-Track, does not digitally fingerprint, and anonymises IP addresses.

It is extremely useful to have some limited information about website visitors, if only to know you do/do not have any! But we do not like spying any more than we like being spied on.

Formerly known as Piwik, this open-source product is one of the least-invasive tools we know of. Our default settings respect browser requests for not tracking, and even where that is not set we record only the upper three bytes of the IP address - so we cannot know where you are, and our data could not possibly be used to identify you.

It is possible a family member or friend may want an account see what is happening on their server(s) - we're game for that as long as they, too, are privacy-supportive.
