I have been reminded yet again by a DVD which no longer works to restart the task of slowly ripping the collection to digital files which can be redundantly backed up.

Now, of course, was extremely bad timing. But every time it has come up has, equally, been extremely poor.

Now, while preparing for multiple parties in quick succession, I am also baby-sitting two boxes which are running instances of HandBrake[O GH], and manually copying files to the cloud for backup.

It is not a huge chunk of my time, and honestly it is kind of fun to keep a couple machines using up pretty much 100% of their computing capacity.
