Not all wine concepts succeed, and even where they succeed for some they do not succeed for all.
It seems to me (being the mildly experienced but utterly unschooled tyro wine taster)(which I suspect is something akin to a hypersexual adolescent male trying to discuss the virtues of dating practices which do not involve touching – lack of actual knowledge does not prevent holding strong opinions!) that big-red styles do not combine well with sparkling wine practices.
And it seems to me Arte e Concerto Reggiano Denominazione di Origine Controllata Lambrusco Rosso Secco Vino Frizzante (2014) is a wine I was predestined not to enjoy.
EDIT: 2017-02-11 removing male-describing term someone felt was anti-woman.
